THE ACADEMY OF NUTRITION AND DIETETICS RECOGNIZES
DR. JAN ELLIOTT EVANS AS FELLOW
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the world’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals, recently recognized Dr. Jan Elliott Evans as a Fellow.
This designation recognizes Dr. Evans’ commitment to the field of dietetics and celebrates her professional accomplishments and pursuit of life-long learning.
A Fellow signifies that a member has lived up to the Academy’s values of customer focus, integrity, innovation and social responsibility.
Dr. Evans is a Registered Dietitian in private practice in Richmond, VA. She recently began an advanced graduate program in dietetics for additional training and education. She works in the out-patient setting, critical and long-termcare, and in education.
Dr. Evans has dedicated her life to helping adults learn to practice healthful dining, prevent chronic disease and live their best lives through nutrition.

CERTIFIED NUTRITION SUPPORT CLINICIAN®
Dr. Jan Elliott Evans has recently been awarded certification as a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician® (CNSC®) by the National Board of Nutrition Support Certification (NBNSC). Dr. Evans successfully completed a comprehensive written examination on nutrition support. Dr. Evans joins over 4,100 others worldwide who have validated their knowledge base in nutrition support and are currently certified in nutrition support.
The NBNSC was established by the American Society for Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition (A.S.P.E.N.) in 1984 to administer certification programs in specialized nutrition support. A.S.P.E.N. is a multidisciplinary professional organization dedicated to improving nutrition support practice through education, research, and clinical excellence.
The development of standards of practice, clinical guidelines and the establishment of the NBNSC are efforts A.S.P.E.N. had made to enhance delivery of safe and effective nutrition support for the protection of the public.
